MediaWorks is an independent multimedia initiative dedicated to exploring the world and documenting people, places and things using photography, text, sound and moving image. The goal of MediaWorks is to share experience, foster insight, exchange ideas and entertain.
Caroline Kraus grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from The College of William and Mary, she earned a Master’s in Media Studies at the New School for Social Research in New York City where her focus was documentary film. Following graduate school, she spent summers at the Iowa Summer Writing Workshop.
Now living in Northern California, Kraus is the author of Borderlines: A Memoir, and she is in various stages of book, photography and documentary projects. In addition, she works as a multimedia Web editor supporting arts and education institutions such as PBS.org, The Independent Television Service (ITVS.org), Encyclopedia Britannica, Scientific Learning Corporation, The SF Academy of Art and Northwestern University.
